Post Jam Fixes and Updates
This is a post Jam fix/update. Now that the Game Jam rating time ended, I can update the game (yay)! With the feedback given during the rating I've, at least attempted, to make the game better. Here is a list of some of the changes:
- YES, the jump was fixed, hopefully now it is less floaty, also added a bit more gravity and higher deceleration in air/ground when no directional input is given.
- Due to the extra gravity/deceleration affecting distances, some of the level layout has been altered to account for that.
- Weapons were balanced, to hopefully encourage experimentation with them all.
- Bad geometry collision was fixed (some blocks during crumbling still had the jump through flag when they shouldn't).
- A Online Leaderboard was added to keep track of the fastest times.
- Fixed some wrong/missing text on the menus, ex: the "How to" menu screen read "Credits" on the Jam release (dumb dev forgetting to change after duplicating a scene in the first place).
- Removed some extra code that, hopefully, could be the cause of crashes on some PCs, keep me with feedback in this so if it is not fixed I can try other things.
- Added, some, controller support on the menu, still not fully working, so just do mouse menuing when stuck.
- Sped up the autoscroller section, so beware, lava is more dangerous now, but not by much.
- Falling Platforms will now respawn after a couple seconds, giving the player more than a single attempt on them.
